Hello

I am currently upgrading my site and would like to change some of my exisiting URLs to my new keyword rich replacements. I understand the need to redirect the old URLs to the new ones so as not to loose PR and links etc.

I was hoping someone could tell me the best way to do this and hopefully HOW aswell

.All the URLs are standard .html ones.
.Hosted on windows server (can swap to linux apache if necessary)

Is it possible to 301 redirect html pages in an SEO friendly way?

Would really appriciate some pointers on this.

Thanks

I don't think a 301 redirect will harm your SE ratings - I am planning to use them myself, since one of my sites has far too many files in the root directory.

I think 301 relies on Apache - traditionally Linux based - but it car run on Windows - it is how I run my localhost server on my computer when testing sites off-line.
