I wanna plug my website into a program that can simulate how long it would take a user to download the page on a standard modem.

I'm sure there is a tool out there ,however, I was unsuccesful trying to locate it on google so with my not so great patience I have come here.

Thanks in advance.

If you do find one ... just remember that modem speeds are quite frequently not reaching 56k ;)

Understandable. I just need some reasonably accurate data.

There are a couple "document weight" simulators. For example, Homesite has it built-in. It uses the document weight along with dependencies to calculate estimated download times.

Try searching on phrases like "web speed simulator" or "dial-up simulator". I see lots of options.

To avoid promoting any one tool (the temptation for a link drop here looks intense) I;m locking the thread.
