How to disable clicking sound when clicking a link?

I hope to have posted this in the right forum...

I was wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to disable the browser's clicking sound when you click on a link.
I would like to do so in the webpage, not editing browser settings by hand...

Not as far as I know. This is a browser/OS behaviour and has to be changed there. For security reasons the browser is unable to affect this.
