I am not sure how this happened or where to post this. But just about 20 minutes ago as I was exporting some files from Macromedia Fireworks my computer now shows some TEXT in Italics. Its not all text and I think its only happening with Arial fonts for some reason. Also only to text that is not formatted or anything.

But its also happening in my AIM window too :/

Anyone have this happen before? I don't know where really to start and have already looked under my Control Panel on XP Professional but couldn't find anything.

Any clue anyone?

Ok I just simply reinstalled ARIAL and restarted my browser and it works now:)

So -- a corrupted font? I would never have thought to consider that. Thanks.

Sure was! I don't know what/how/why it happened, but that was really the only logical explanation.

If you're on XP, the MS Powertoys "TweakUI" tool has a "Repair Font Folder" function --as well as many others-- in it's "Repair" section. This is just a faster/more convenient way to do what you did -- repair the font.
