Hoping someone can help me out with this. I'm not really doing strict fluid or fixed design, but I'm trying to figure out a way to get the main container table on each of the pages in my site to be as tall as the visitor's browser window appears (with no scrolling). Of course, this will be different depending on the viewer's resolution. I'd also like to include a table row that will show up at the bottom of the screen with some basic text links (contact, about, etc.).
Does anyone have any tips on how to go about doing this?
Thanks in advance!
I'm not at all convinced (and I've worked with several clients who used this approach) that there is any advantage for a website that's even near worth the extra effort. However, if you go forward with it, be sure that your scripting is not measuring the browser resolution, but the actual window height.
