I face this very stupid problem. I am almost ashamed of asking...
My address bar in internet explorer is suddenly gone.
Can't find a a way to get it back.
Can someone enlighten me on that one?
Thanks a bunch

thank you for your answer squallion. when I right click on tools and get the address bar checked, I simply see a small box appearing on the far right side of the browser window (on the same level as the other buttons "search", "favorites", etc).
still can't figure it out. Any idea what to do next?

See the word Adress?
Drag left at the left of the word Adrees

The address box is probably located on another bar and has become hidden. Have a play and drag a few toolbar components around and the address box will probably reappear. I had to do this on my next-door neighbour's computer a couple of weeks ago.
Of course, having fixed it, I downloaded and installed Firefox since it was IE 5.5/Win 98.
Kaled.

thanks for your help.
Played around with your tips and after a while found out what was wrong: the "lock the toolbars" under > view > toolbars was somehow on. This stopped me from being able to drag the address bar.
