Redirect questions

I'm new to this site and fairly inexperienced in web programming so forgive me if this question is in the wrong place. My question: I'm doing a website for a friend. She's registered her domain name and has it redirected with masking to my domain. We don't want to see my domain name anywhere on her site (such as if you hover over a hyperlink). I can't seem to figure out how I can have the hyperlinks that link to images and such on my server to show her domain name but link to mine - only the main domain seems to be redirectable and only to her main page. Is there an easy way to achieve this?

Thanks,

Mark

Hello Mark, and welcome to the forms,

Sound like the kind of redirect set up is the problem. It's an issue on the server that hosts your friend's domain name, and what your friend has been offered is not doing the job you want to see done.

Most people who use this kind of forwarding are not concerned about the url for secondary files - if the pages display properly that's all they care about. The only approach I can think of is to set up full hosting for your friend's website, rather than a "redirect with masking". In other words, to use only her domain name in an image call or other support files, those files must be hosted on her domain.

Thanks for the reply. After a little more research I believe that you are 100% correct. I was hoping that wouldn't be the case but that would be too easy, wouldn't it? Thanks again...
