Explorer doesn't display favicons in the address bar - only in bookmarks.

IEs favicon support is very buggy: you can try grabbing the default icon next to the address bar with your mouse pointer and "shaking" it about - with a bit of luck your favicon will appear - and usually (but not always) it will continue to appear unless you empty your cache. You should also try bookmarking the site, then closing all your IE windows and re-opening them - it should appear in the bookmarks and in the title bar.

Otherwise, as tedster says, it probably won't display at all in the title bar, either for you or for your visitors.

Encyclo's advice is good, although it doesn't help with your visitors who don't know to "shake" the default icon to make your favicon appear there. Don't ask me why dragging that icon around for a bit should help anything, but it normally does...is there any way to shake the whole Windows OS from time to time? ;)
