Hi,

I keep seeing broken links in my site, and the referring url always has a %5C inside it.

Should I ignore it? How does it come about? Why do people use it?

I can't even google information regarding it.

regards,

victor

It's a backslash "\"

Bill Gates' contribution to ensuring Microsoft didn't look like it was just copying UNIX when they added direcories and paths to DOS.

May be caused by users being confused between URLs and DOS/Windows paths+filenames.

Thanks for the reply.

Is it my fault?

Maybe it is. Search your local copy of your site for "\". If you find any in links, change them to "/" and upload your pages again.
