Boxedart PSD's to HTML

Guidelines don't seem to help

I recently purchased a subscription to BoxedArt, and I'm having trouble exporting some of the templates from PSD to HTML.

I'm not having problems exporting the ones that use slices, but I'm having problems with PSD's that use guidelines. I looked for help on BoxedArt's homepage, but found nothing.

I also looked for tutorials online, but found nothing useful. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Well, guidelines only help create slices in PS. Guidelines are not relevant to html output, slices are. Perhaps you are viewing the 'working' files for the template and not the sliced versions? Perhaps this is a file that was purposefully left in a guideline state so you can 'cut' it any way you wish? Either way you need slices to create partial images for the html tables that PS outputs.

On the site, it says : "PSD (this template uses guidelines, no slice lines)"

I don't know much about PhotoShop - so what would the steps be to go from that PSD file to an HTML template? Is there a guide or some other reference I can take a look at?

Oh yes, this is the way it's done, you are working with the cuttable one-piece working file in this case, which is good for making your specific modifications.

Search the PS Help for 'slicing' and 'html output'. The tutorials in PS are really petty good and you should not have a problem getting what you want. BA has tutorials: [boxedart.com...]
