Hi,
I've moved a forum I had at say [mysite.com...] to: [anothersite.com...]
The folder "/forum" points to a now defunct forum database. Can anyone tell me how to redirect those
who point to it?

Thanks for any help

There should be a database connection file that you can change (locataion, username and password) to point to your new database server. Once you have done that, 301 the whole directory to your new site.

Sorry, I'm not too good on this stuff. The folder in question is empty (on my machine) because my site is published using FrontPage. That particular folder's contents are uploaded using FTP - I can still access both it and the database where I have dropped the tables.

I should get bye though, I've managed to mass mail all members about the URL change. I was just wondering if was an easier way to redirect the odd stray who has it bookmarked and visits irregularly.

Thanks anyway ... Camweh
