Hi I'm a newbie without a heap of technical knowledge...so please be gentle.

My company's 4-PAGE newsletter is only in print form, set up on Corel Draw as a PDF, then sent to press.

Trying to establish the simplest way to set it up in email form and not sure where to start.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld jennzed.

The most accessible way to do this is to make an all text version to be sent out as e-mail. Don't fool yourself into thinking that everyone wants to see all the graphics and layout in an e-mail newsletter. If you want to have a fancy formatted version include a download link to the PDF version. You could also make a webpage and link to that as well.

If you are planning to start a newsletter then didn't forget to add your Postal Address, Email Address and Phone number. Now most of the countries have Anti-SPAM law. Therefore, do take care of it.

Thanks for your reply. We're thinking of going the route of creating the webpage, but I must admit, I'm a bit puzzled about how much work this involves.

If I created the newsletter as a webpage and emailed it, I could imagine it being an email containing a headline and very small pic for each story, with a link to the full length story.

1. Would the full stories be on one page, or on several? (There are about 8 stories in one newsletter.)

2. Would the pages containing the full story be uploaded to my website?

I definitely agree with linking to a PDF as well.

Different media call for different solutions. A four page print newsletter is fine - but that's a lot of information to put in an e-mail.

I suggest you step back and say "what is the best way we can communicate effectively with our customers via email?" I doubt that converting your existing four page newsletter into an email is the answer you will come up with.
