Freshie visited us Feb. 26 and also today. Only taking index page but that is enough for us. Massive changes daily to index page. If you want to look, site name in profile. Everything I know about SEO, I learned from you folks in this forum. Thank you! Good luck to all in the Dance! Hope you all get a raise in PR!

Freshbot hit me pretty hard off and on all day. Very good for me. I'm excited about the changes I've made and googlebot picked them up just in time.

Ok, here is something NEW TODAY with Freshbot: our html title was always "sell widget sell gidget". And UNTIL TODAY I could enter "Sell widget" or "sell gidget" and Freshbot always pulled us up page 1, despite our 4 word html title. NOT NOW... Now Freshbot has to have the EXACT html title matching exactly the query words. So I already told the client, I removed "sell gidget" and the html title now is only: "sell widget". His site will only be seen for that 1/2 of his business. I told him he has to have a new site immediately for "sell gidget". Not a mirror site. He is OK if 3 word phrase is entered, but that cuts way back on his business. Two keywords are better for him. Check out what I am experiencing and see if you have the same results.

Just got my logs, and freshbot was all over my site today too.

So I guess the update will honor one of the holidays in the first week of March:

1st - National Pig Day and Peanut Butter Lover's Day

2nd - Old Stuff Day

3rd - National Anthem Day

4th - Holy Experiment Day

5th - Multiple Personalities Day

6th - National Frozen Food Day

7th - National Crown Roast Of Pork Day

Had Freshbot on my site yesterday afternoon.
And yesterday evening, checking my site in google, it was completely out of the index.
Anyone had that before, any experiences bout that?
Will the site be back after the next dance?

Hi, kwengian, what do you see? Feel free to tell me, I appreciate! Too many repetitions of keywords? I am trying to reduce them. Please tell me what you perceive as a problem so I can work on it. I appreciate your thoughts. We all are trying to help each other here. Thank you! If you want, you can sticky me. Either way, I appreciate your thoughts and need your input. Thanks again.

No, Kwngian, that site is not me. But please anyone can kindly look at our site (listed in my profile) and give any advice at all. The stuff at the bottom is successfully attracting Freshbot each 12-36 hours and client is happy about position in Google results. As I say, any advice is very much appreciated. Kwngian you scared me, ha ha. No idea of who owns that site. Must be a bad one, huh? Xerxes is a Greek name. A lot of people use it on the internet for a password, etc.

Guenni- I had a site that on it's first attempt listed pretty highly on serps for a few pages. It wasn't updated for over 6 months (maybe more) and so slipped way down the rankings. It's not listed in dmoz and is PR 1! But it has been radically updated and has had freshbots all over it like a cheap suit - so fingers crossed! I reckon you'll do okay at the update. Best of luck. The only way is up.

64.68.80.** all over my site again. This is the third time between updates that the bots have pulled down deep crawl numbers. 20K+ pages per day for consecutive days. But I am seeing this IP range visiting several different sites en masse. As noted earlier on in this thread, this seems to be a Deepcrawl bot.

But why would there be three discreet deepcrawls on my sites? And with the update apparently late, makes me wonder if something isn't broken!

I've had some freshbots, of the 64.68.82.* kind, come for a bit of a nibble on a new site today.

I wouldn't say it was a deep crawl, but it did follow about 5/15 of links 1 level deep, and the links it followed were not in a linear order. Seems like it was just having a bit of a sniff around.

Will the lateness of the next update postpone the date of the next deep crawl? Does that usually happen?

Hello btw :)

Just got a fax from Google apologising for the update being late. Apparently there were some Doritos stuck down the back of their main server. But it's all fixed now. Or something.

OK, Freshbot is back to pulling up 1 of the 2 keyword title. Now, it pulls up widget and it pulls up gidget from the double keyword title. HA. This again after I fast set up a second site for gidget. Oh well, now the client will have double the freshmint. Joke's on me! Next time Freshbot looks like it is changing its strategy, I am going to do what GG advises on the Dance, and just wait a few days.
