What does it take to get Googleguy's help? Shining a searchlight into the sky with a big "GG" so it appears on the clouds? ;) This may have been a quick update. I can't even find my site on www.google.com anymore. :( I may have to try and find a searchlight. I am already preparing for worse case scenarios, and writing a draft to the webmaster of a peer site to ask for a prominent link on the relevant page of his site (which is #1 for 1 of the 3 key search words) with a link at least the deaths section of my website, so that people can find it. We are on reasonably friendly terms, so I have a chance. Sigh.

This is an example of the linking code. I don't know why they haven't just used a straight hyperlink but I've got a bad feeling the extra bits they've added are the problem.

A sure yes, if you are in www2,www3 you will be there, but the ranking can still change the next few days.

duncanj, the link isn't javascript but if you have reproduced it exactly the HTML looks bollixed up. Does the link work if you click on it?

I find no links to my homepage in www2 and www3. The PR hasn't changed yet (PR4), but could this be that my PR will be dropped under 4 and than that's the reason for google not showing my inbounds? Which would be odd cause I've made many improvements, including new q links.
I'm scared!!

Don't have a cow, man. You can check Link: all day today and tomorrow and get different results almost every time you do. You may or may not have lost links. The thing is like jelly right now. Trying to figure a form to it is worthless. I check link: my site and one minute they're all there and the next they're not.

The thing to do is keep checking link: in WWW vs. WW3 and see if you increased the number of inbound links when they do show up. Also you might want to see how many of your pages are included in the database, this month vs. last.

But if you keep checking over and over but they're not anywhere, then you got a problem.

Oh, and the only way PR changes will be evident is if you've changed the register to WWW3. I can't tell you how to do that cause I forget but somebody here can.

Yep, link works fine. I'm trying to get it changed to just a clean hyperlink but guess even then it won't be counted in the August update.

I have had some problemsto see how much of my site has been indexed by google or how is linking to me, but Im not the only one here I have seen here.

Here is the solution:

site:www.yourdomain.com "www.yourdomain.com"

type this in the search.

The dance could not be finished. For a while yesterday my site moved from number four to number three and the page rank, on the catoagory bar increased a notch.

Now it is the same as before, same position, same rank, same old outdated cached page.

How does one know when it is complete?

HL, it may take a week to stabilize, and even after that there may be some bubbling going on. It does seem like results have gotten to www a bit more quickly this time than last, but I wasn't really keeping track.

I have seen my new pages included in www, www2 & www3 with the same details but older pages are still showing old titles and details. I expected the older pages to show the new titles etc. But this hasn't happened. Any idea that this could change after the dance is complete?

The update has moved to www here in the UK and been stable for over 4 hours now.

Davidku - one huge problem I see is all of the internal scripting on the page. Also all of the popups when you click on your homepage.

Sorry ... it is only 1 time pop up which I redirect it to a merchant. Then the merchant got it's own pop up again which is not my control. I am looking for a method whether possible to kill that merchant's additional pop up.

Okay, I will correct this.
1) make all the javascript into 1 single file.

I am listed in Open Directory and used to appear in the "Category" button. Now ... not anymore.

I can also state that - at least for me - www has taken over the www2/3 results from yesterday and now seems to be stable. A great update by the way.

This has been a very weird update. It seems to have stabilized in very little time. Is anyone seeing differences between WWW, WWW2, and WWW3 for anything?

This is my first post - I hope I'm doing it right.

I'm not thrilled with this update - although I'm happy for everyone else :)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong and actually lost a couple of spots. My site's been in Google for several years, but I recently changed the focus, and have pretty good response to some of the terms, but the main one - I can't get past the 2nd page, and fell back a spot on this go around.

I've changed the tags several times over the past few months, and switched around some of the page content. I've noticed that some of the sites ahead of me don't have as many keywords in their page content, and a few are even redirects.

We also come up first on Looksmart for this term and are listed in Yahoo, (although still updating that listing) But we can't get into DMOZ - the editor is not happy with the site - too much competition. Yes, they've told me that, and I've tried to get to upper level editors, but so far no answer)

We've got about 20 outside links, some from PR5 & PR6 pages.

Anyone have any advice?

My site was spidered from June 27 to July 1, so both my pages and links in are from that date and don't reflect changes since then. Is that maybe your problem?
