Did Google even *try* to sort out their PR0 mess?

Are they interested?

That's a serious question I'm asking.

Several sites still retain a pagerank of zero - with no logical reason. Sites have lost a considerable amount of traffic for several months because of a penalization by Google. Some sites have regained their pagerank. Some have regained it partially for just the index page.

Did Google even make an effort to sort this out? I have my doubts...

Thoughts?

You have a pop-up window advertisment on your home page. I've heard that google is penalizing for pop-ups.

For what it's worth, I had around 19 sites slapped with a PR0 in January. No doubt my fault as there was a lot of cross linking between them (they are all tourism related and had no links to "bad" neighbourhoods). Even though they have all been cleaned up since then only 1 of them has recovered some page rank.

pointing to a spammy site is much worse than the other way around. Abrexa_UK, don't think we haven't thought about it.

How are we supposed to know if a site that we want to link to is spammy or not?

We were told not to link to any site with pr of less than 5.

Supposedly this will keep us out of trouble...

Can GG confirm this?

I hope as a newbie i did not make a total fool out of myself
