Google Error

503 server error when attempting a search

Just attempted a search on google.com and got this seeveral times :

Google
Error

Server Error
The service you requested is not available at this time.
Service error -27.

Presumably its a tempoary glitch, but I have never seen it before

Google generating server errors here in the UK (both IE and Firefox). Yahoo is erroring intermittently.

Yes I see the same on Yahoo, with searches, damn we will see this more often with time and the total collapse of the big se will come also and we cant do anything, its a shame it must be so.

Google is down in UK & Poland and through proxy servers from US.

Maybe it's down to electricity shortage in California :)

Im curoius as to whether googlebot is making the rounds...any one have logfile showing it?

I mean what is the emergency proceedure over in google-land, do you stop crawling and focus on maximizing your bandwidth or do you keep googlebot out there in the wild?

I've been getting upwards of a dozen virus emails a day (that fit the description) for several weeks - are we saying these are responsible for bringing down Google, etc?

If the answer is yes, someone screwed up big time in the payload analysis.
