Hard to believe Yahoo is beginning to outperform Google.
What has been your experience?
my traffic from yahoo, msn and ask jeeves now exceed my google traffic. thank goodness! who needs google!
For all the new site for me it is working and it is bypassing the sandbox filter.

Yahoo is definitely more active from what I have seen, not only with the above site.
Delays concerning new sites might be deliberate in order to slow down the spam generation through newly created disposable domains. It will be interesting to see how Yahoo will behave once it starts getting the level of spam that Google gets now.

Yahoo's taken a couple of months to get the new sites into the index properly, but once in there they've quickly started to rank well. (I'm still waiting for MSN to notice anything new for me since the beginning of this year!)
The star performer for me recently has been Ask. New sites have been indexed in a couple of weeks and are ranking really well. Haven't got PFI - just picking them up from inbound links. Plenty of decent traffic from Ask at the moment as well.
Seem to me : All the index of Google is in RAM. If you put a query of 1 to 4 keywords, the algo have to look all the pages in the index who have thoses words. But if you add more negative string to reach the 10 words query limit, that a lot more of computation! The algo switch to "normal" results"
Even though as a user I b*tch about directory spam in G, as a webmaster, adding new pages regularly, I find it vey impressive how fast G picks the new stuff up and then sticks it in the proper place, at the top of the serps. At present, our PR6 homepage site has its new pages permanently indexed in 2-3 days. Y takes weeks, at best.
Lets hae a insight in What happens?, you put your link on site A , if by some chances Yahoo visits site A earlier than Google(which is a rare possiblity) then it will come to your site and will index it faster. All my new sites , new pages gets indexed in three to four days on an average.
Technolgy work in a single way but human in multiple ways, so its upto you how you get Google or Yahoo to your sites faster.

Pages submitted 16.30 GMT Wednesday, Review at 00.50 GMT Thursday - first SE referral 08.09 GMT Thursday. Less than 8 hours (my previous fastest was 12 hours) from review to first enquiry and it was probably faster than that for pages to be in the results.
For the 1st time after becoming a webmaster I am seeing my new sites getting traffic just from yahoo and not a single one from google.

Google is faster than Yahoo in indexing the page. But comparing - which one shows your site in SERP earlier - I would say Yahoo. Y! is incredibly fast.

Yahoo is amazingly fast at ranking new sites. Conversely, Google seems headed in the other direction. Not sure which leads to better SERPS, but the former is certainly better for webbmasters!
I couldn't believe I was getting e-mails about a site I uploaded around 14 days ago. I was checking almost daily in Google and no page had been included in the index yet.
Turns out it had been included in Yahoo and ranking well. I couldn't believe my eyes, I thought Yahoo would take months!
A couple other sites that have been waiting for a month are neither in Google nor Yahoo. So, there is no consistent pattern.
And what is the crawl to index turnaround.
I had one site that had 2,000 pages crawled about 7 days ago but only 70-80 pages have made the index so far.
I also have sites with reasonable backlinks that I would expect Slurp to be visiting by now (Especially in light of the comments in this thread)

what do I have to do if my web keyword1-keyword2.com appers nš 1 in the search keyword1 keyword2 -fsdsds -cxcx -.... but does not appear in the keyword1 keyword 2 search?
