PR/Backlink updating?

Is anyone else seeing this this morning?
I see PR and backlinks updated on several of my sites as of this morning.
Did I miss mention of it in another thread?

Yes I see the new backlinks it looks like they have used the filter from before the last update, but not much change in rankings, but new sites has joined with new links.

I don't think it's an update, just that the PR and backlinks are now showing.

I think it is a new backlinks update, because I added a site to the net 2 weeks ago and 1 week ago it had no backlinks now it has new backlinks.

Yes, not an update. My serps are the exact same. I know what bumped me up from a high PR5 to a PR6, it was the Yahoo directory listing I got a few weeks ago... Google now shows 4 backlinks from different Yahoo directory pages, one of them a PR6 with about 5 links on the page. Wicked.

ADDED: A lot of inner pages up to PR5. Used to have about 15 of them... looks like it's doubled.

All external backlinks gone. PR unchanged. Still nowhere to be found in the SERPs.

When my pr and backlinks changed, they fluctuated for around a week before settling down to the higher.

Dont want to urinate on bonfires here but..

I used to get a buzz out of a PR adjustment and backlink increase - but now - well my feet are staying firmly on the ground.

What good is a few hundred extra backlinks or a pr increase of +1 when no one has a clue what impact it is going to have on the serps. I doubt it will ressurrect anyone from the dead and the significance of PR nowadays is very much open to debate.

Its all very well sitting there with a PR 7 but when the dial is turned and the knobs fiddled - you'll still drop like a stone.

My PR is up, but lost almost half of my pages. They are all fine and have been there for years, but I don't understand what's happening post-florida. Perhaps it's the Christmas fever ;)

Updated backlinks and PR on main google.

Serps dont seem different for me, however.

I'd suspect not, Bek. Sometimes the PR can shift up and down before it settles in at the higher number... you can hope for that.

If those new backlinks are all PR4 it might not be enough to bump you up.

ADDED: sorry, Bek, you meant serps? This PR/backlink change we're seeing had aleady been factored into the results... the PR is just catching up

PR is up here, backlinks increased, but SERPS remain unchanged. (Happy for the PR and backlinks, though)

Yes PR and Backlinks have been updated, My site now has more backlinks :) but still not in SERPs :(

If it is a commercial site, PR really doesn't seem to make much difference anymore. I've gone from PR6 to 7, but I'm still way out of the top hundred on important searches.

Based upon G behavior after Dominic, normally the change in serp would be reflected before the update of backlinks and PR. Not sure if this behavior has been changed another way round.

We started on 30th October, so that makes 38 days... ;) but I think you'll not mind that at all with a 5'er so quickly...

My backlinks were 3,900, then with Florida went to 4,850 (it took several days for all the dcs to synch up). Now I'm down to 1,900. Some of the interior pages dropped from a 7 to 6. Is this going to be permanent? Please say it ain't so!
