[Search] How do I find how many pages Google has indexed from my site?
A: One possibility is a combination of the site attribute and the + attribute. The site attribute specifies that the search should be restricted to this domain. The + is used in front of www and com because www and com are stop words.

Hope this helps, don't let google stress you out, patience...
will give you the wrong answer if google isn't sure that yoursite.com/page2 is the same page as www.yoursite.com/page2
also, you need to be careful with
"allinurl:yoursite.com "
and make sure that there aren't sites listed that are widget-yoursite.com. Very tricky for sites with 40k pages in the index ;)
This will yield a nice polite string like:
There are approximately 860,129 pages for www.deodato'sdomain.com in our index.
Ok.. that number is sadly a fantasy, but it does work :)
Maybe I save some configuration at IE or google toolbar that affect the results displayed.
Yes, it seems that you have a problem with your configuration/prefrences.
