I have not seen my backlinks change since 6/15, there
are quite a few links that are high PR that are not
yet seen from 2 months ago.

Is anyone else seeing this too? Or am I just missing out?

I have seen very little change in backlinks and PR over the last month. Things seem pretty static right now.

Yep, despite adding numerous backlinks (several hundred) to a few of my sites, absolutely none of them are shown in Google's backlink count.

They can be found via "sites that contain the term' however. Strange stuff. Many of these links are at least PR4+

I assume you have checked the source code of these links? And there is no script being used to hide the destination?

I like to check BLs in ATW to get a more realistic picture of what mine are.

I still believe we are in the "traditional update" mode.

Even though this past update seemed to take forever to settle, the backlinks and PR were added at one time.

IMO, you will see new backlinks and PR when the next update occurs, which will probably be in the next week or two.

Agreed mfishy, the backlinks and PR are still updating as normal. It seems that new pages are added to the index a lot quicker, but the mammoth task of actually recalculating PR and figuring out all the relationships between websites is still saved for once a month. Hopefully in the next week or so.

When I try link:http://www.asubdomain.domain.co.uk/folder/ I get one result, a site that has one page with a link to this site. It shows 1-1 of about 3 but lists only one result.

If I search directly in Google with inurl:www.asubdomain.domain.co.uk/folder/ then I see 1-13 of about 22 instead. The 13 results are made up of 9 pages from the site, and 4 other sites that have a link back to the site. The one result from the site in the initial link query is NOT in these results. Why is that?

And, What are the other 9 pages? Well, in fact I think that they are 9 pages that are on other sites that have links to this site, but which have noindex, follow on those 9 pages. They are on an old version of the site, at an old domain, still online. The old site used to be #80 but when the new site got listed last month it was at #1 straight away. Those links from the old site still seem to be counting even though they are not indexed (well not showing in the listings). The new site is PR0, but the old, unlisted site is PR4.

Comments?

On the other side of the coin is the fact that I have showing for one of my backlinks a pr8 link which hasn't been there for 6 wks and is keeping me at the top of the serps.
I am dreading the update.

I have seen sites, from earlier in the data loss period (Feb to May) come back with backlinks / position, etc. I am confident that Google is playing catch up right now. And that major updates are not as they were / when you will have to wait for.

>traditional update mode

I think we're in "no-update" mode.

The new Googlebot is a wimp, the older one was a machobot.

This googlebot is definitely a lady, the old one was a barbarian server axeman.

cabbie:

We are also watching a site that has three of it's 13 backlinks still showing that have not been there since April when our site replaced him. He's still showing in the top 10 for the main search term. Google obviously has some catching up to do.

Yes Tropical Island.
We are on different sides of the fence however. For me the slower Google catch up the better.
Another month and I might be able to afford to visit you :)

I had backlinks show up a month ago but they have not changed since. Some of them should give me higher pr but my PR actually went down. When I do a link:mydomain.com -asdf the number seems to change every day up and down and I am not adding or deleteing pages.

If you go to Alexa and check backlinks there (using Google), it shows all of the backlinks the toolbar showed before Dominic.
