Narrowing an Allinurl search?

Doing searches within searches

Is there anyway to search the results of a allinurl search for words on the page?

For example, if I search for "allinurl:digital widget" I get pages back that contain those two words in the URL.

If I then want to find pages within the search results that contain "Brandname", I can't seem to do it. I want pages where Brandname is on the page, but doesn't have to be in the URL.

When I try to Search Within Results, it does this:

allinurl: digital widget Brandname

which only brings back those pages that have Brandname in the URL.

Anyway to do what I want to do?

allinurl says: ALL words should be in the url.

It's better to use inurl in stead.

Search for inurl:digital inurl:widgets brandname

or do it in the 2 steps you described.

What you suggested doesn't work at all for me.

My question is whether you can simultaneously do a compound search for 1) an allinurl search and 2) a normal search the entire page search.

Anybody else?

No you can't, as you already noticed.

When you try to search within allinurl results, Google adds the extra word to the allinurl command.

So you have to identify all words seperately. It doesn't matter if you do it in one search or within the results.
