Hi all,

I've got a bit of a concern and were hoping you could give me some advices.

My main site has been up and running for the past 6 months and I'm sure google has been spidering it since march (date I installed a log analizer). In march I've got 7 google hits, April 6, May 1 and June 4. The site has 20 pages or so.

Today when searching for the number of pages google has in its index I came up with a staggering 5. I checked on different datacentres and 5 is the highest number of pages I found.
The query link:my-domain.com also gave me results for another company hosted on my.domain.com. Strange ain't it.

I have a couple of inbounds link from a PR8 site (on PR6 pages) and use to have a link from my WW profile as well. I am also listed in the DMOZ dir and google had picked up this link (PR4). Links to my site are hard to find because it'a commercial site and the only links I could think of having is from some of my customer website.

My site PR is also causing me concern because it's been PR0 since I installed the toolbar ie. 3 months ago. I have done a new site on the same server a couple of months ago and it's already PR2 and 12+ pages are listed (12 hits in june from google).

Today I thought I should do something about the 5 pages listed site, so I thought of creating a site map. Blank page with only links on it. Do you think it can help google list all the pages I've got? Do you think I should resubmit the site to cause interest?

I did sent a couple of emails to webmaster@google.com but without any success.

Any idea would be greatly appreciated.

Leo

The best advice.... be patience, Google in re-deploying their index which may take time, but in the end they do "usually" improve it.

You made have notice that your mainpage is not coming up as a primary page for rank positioning. It is best however, not to "guess" at what to do right now, just develop incoming links as you can't go wrong here.

In addition have a few clients who, loss many backlinks... I tell them "backlink and rankes are not your concern - visitors and sales are your concern".

I have a weird event for one of the sites i am involved with. It seems to have only downloaded the /index.html file and then list the links on the page as:

www.widgetnet.wig/internal-page.html
Similar pages

www.widgetnet.wig/internal-page-2.html
Similar pages

My site PR is also causing me concern because it's been PR0 since I installed the toolbar ie. 3 months ago.

Bad timing on the 3 months thing. ;)

We still have yet to get a page rank on our site 0/10, Google doesn't show all of our good links yet, after 3 months...but...
We rank fine in the SERPS now, and we get increased traffic, so I wouldn't worry about PR right now.
