inurl:domain.com -site:domain.com
Your search string result shows webpages (not mine) containing my site urls, which may not have a link to us.
Using that format which return several hundreds of external links to my site, I found that these web pages does have links to my site.
The only web pages that appeared to have link to my site and in fact there's none where actually 'spammers' using real links(mine and others) to feed Google but when clicked turns out to be redirect. However, the point is, Google have detected 'domain.com' in a url(inurl:)and most likely that URL is in hyperlink.
Sticky me if you want and show me an external web page that is not linking to you.
cheers
Sites linking to my site in Alltheweb's index do not necessarily be in Google's index.
That is correct. Also sites in Google index may not show in ATW.
You asked for a way to show all the links Google has for your site without internal links. That is impossible, as Google refuses to show you all the links it knows, it only shows those above a certain PR.
If you really want all the links Google is willing to show you, minus the internal ones, you will have to do some work:
1. Go to Advanced mode, set page size to 100 results.
2. Do link: command, go to end of last page and click on "to show all results..." stuff.
3. For each page, Save As
4. With your favorite editor remove your internal links from the saved pages.
With a UNIX-like system (or good tools on a M$ one) the last step can be automated.
I actually maintain three lists of backlinks:
1. The Google list, as described above (quite easy to do with good tools).
2. The alltheweb list.
3. A list I make from my referrers.
Each gives me a different perspective on the linking situation.
