Does it continue to index the site?

One of my sites got a grey-bar this month. I'm still puzzled as to why and never received any response from Google for reinclusion.

Anyhow, I have noticed that googlebot continues to visit. Is that normal?

Is your site still in the index?

My site's index page went from pr7 to "grey bar" a week ago and dropped from # 3 to # 81 for my main keyphrase. Sub pages are still pr6 and pr5.

Nothing spammy, and nothing has been changed for months.

My good friend has a true .org site she says that got white, then gray / grey, then white again. I wondered about the going greay and then not again bit, but it was pure white when I looked. Her site is listed in all the main directories, etc. and is not big into reciprocal links (she does have some, but with on very on topic sites). She emailed Google a week ago, and still has heard nothing / had no improvement. So you are not alone. But I do not have any theories at all for you as to why this happens, and why nothing then does.

Now something even weirder has happened. I always check my PR by clicking on my site's listing in Google for my main keyphrase. When I do that, it is PR0 (grey bar) and ranked # 81.

However, when I type in the address instead, its PR7 again!

Same exact address - two different PR's. My index page hasn't been edited in 2 months!

I don't get it.

No, it's gone from the index completely. When doing a search on google for "www.mydomain.com", it returns a "Sorry, no information is available for the URL ...."

Another strange thing is that when I check my backlinks using the toolbar, the backlinks show up.

Guess I'll start all over using another domain since it did make up to #2 on one of my keywords before it got booted.

It would also be nice if Google had the decency to respond to an email.

Hi Bio4ce

This is where I am sure my theory that the problems are Google data / PR and keyword relevency calculation loss stand high.

My friends site for a straight search on her domain (less the www) would normally show all the other site pages that linked to her. It doesn't. But do a link: search and there they are! I think that her links are showing in one sense, but not the calculated sense. And therefore have given her PR0 / meant they do not show as a regular search.
