Does G put unspidered sites in their index?

I've seen G display SERPS for sites that it does not have a title for

Ever seen G display a SERP w/ no title, no description, no cache, not freshie tag no nothing? It's not that the url doesn't have any of that, it just doesn't seem to have been spidered by G. What is that? Is Google just using the url as a result for a query in case no other site comes up?

yes - indexed based on inbound link text.

That explains pages I've seen indexed but never spidered. So that's a good sign that it will eventually be spidered.

Unless the pages in question are set to NOINDEX or are otherwise unspiderable. Then they can still be listed in this manner based on anchor text.

Or a site might be down when we tried to crawl it, etc. But it at least shows that we saw a reference to that page.
