I just noticed our shopping cart that is "noindex, nofollow" is indexed but is getting fresh dates as well. Why is this happening?

Use of that tag has always been dicey with se's. It may not be being read other than for the major updates. It seems to get treated just like robots.txt.

I have had a duplicate orphaned home page for FindWhat clicks to land on for over a year. It has a "noindex, follow" tag and until a week ago had a grey bar. Today it has a PR1.

I added that tag all through an old site just after it was all duplicated onto a new domain.

In the last update Google cleanly forgot all about the old site, and listed all of the new site in its place.

Didn't know how close I was to playing with fire.
