Put up a new shell website two and a half months ago. Put four pages on it (home page, two content pages and a links page). Has ten outbound links to ho-hum (but relevant) sites and one relevant PR4 inbound link. Site has PR0 on all pages. No optimization ... this site was just put up to age as a standby.
Just a few days ago, started getting 300-400 targeted visitors a day to the two content pages.
Gonna hang up SEO! My conclusion is becoming ... the best thing to do to get Google traffic is to do nothing.
