After tracking my sales for a while, I found that more than 25% of sales is going to UK.
I'm happy to find out, because this is important information.
But what next?

What is the exact difference between google.co.uk and google.com? The serps look different to me, but I couldn't tell what. I rank not that high in Google.com. About position 18. But in Google Uk I'm not in the first 30. I would like to rank higher in Google UK.

All suggestions are welcome....

And another small question. Do people in UK use Google UK rather than Google.com? Do you get automatically reverted to Google UK in there?

Is your site a .com?

Google UK (UK Only Search) only lists .coms which are hosted in the UK and .uk sites.

(On the other hand Google.co.uk defaults to the full .com search)

As a UK based organisation we look at about 30% of Google traffic coming from Google.co.uk and about 20% coming from UK only search.

If your site is a co.uk then I woudl have expected your
site to rank higher in google.uk then google.com.

Based on visitors to my websites - which are all co.uk's and hosted in the UK alot of UK people do use google.uk.

I use google.uk myself if Iam seaching for UK info, as google.com does return too many US sites which are not relevant to what I am looking for.

Customers who find my website vis google, approx half have used google.uk and half google.com.

No you don't automatically get directed to google.uk in the UK, thankfully we still have the choice to use google.com or uk.

Stuart
