No Title or Description for my Google page result..help

Can someone please answer this question for me?

I am trying to figure out why the Google results for my site are only showing the URL and not my title or description?

I am showing up on the front page of the google results with a valid link to my page ,but no info listed...just a darn URL and no cache link either.

Not sure if this matters , but I am with Yahoo store
Please help me figure this out.......any suggestions would be appreciated!

Your site was dropped from the index and is only indexed now by links pointing at your site.

I'm in the same boat.

Site returns #2 for competitive keywords. PR is 5, with fair number of backlinks. No tricky stuff.

No page title or business name. No cache ("These terms only appear in links pointing to this page:..").

Only URL (www.domain.com) with "domain.com;http://www.domain.bigstep.com below it). Description and Google Directory Listing show below that.

Other keyword searches show "www.domain.bigstep.com/homepage.html" with correct title and cache.

www.domain.com redirects to the www.domain.bigstep site. Is that the problem?

Do you know why this type of thing happens? Could it be something I have done...or is it a Google thing?

My other search results come back fine...its just this one search result that is doing this.

I am still in the learning stages here and I'm very concerned that I will not be able to figure this out .

Your site could have been briefly down when Googlebot last visited.

What it means is that Google is aware that your site exists but was not able to to fetch the page during the last crawl.

I wouldn't worry at this point.

If Googlebot was unable to pick up my info on the last run...how long before the next run?

I had this happen to a site that was in the index for almost two years, then it dropped out and now shows only the page URL. Email responses from Google have said that the site has not been penalized, but still only URLs after 4 months. I have spent months trying to figure this one out but have so far been unsuccessful. :(

Is it possible that the anchor text from the link that is causing you to rank highly for this search is on a page that has meta tag="robots" content="index, nofollow". Google will list the url when it finds a link to your site on a page with this -but does not follow the link. It also occurs when it reaches the end of its pr realted tether. It used too anyway.
