Position in search results.

All things being equal, does anyone know the value of what position your site is shown in search engine results? For example:

If you're ranked 1 (I wish) you'll get 20% more people clicking though to your site than if you're ranked 2.

and.. what will get more clicks, being top of normal search engine results, or being top in ad-word results (google)?

That is one you are going to have to figure out for yourself. I've seen figures all over the place. It is different for every search engine and almost every search performed. No se has every publically shared that information.
