Ok.. I am totally convinced something is very wrong with google, as if we didnt all know that lately.

Check this out, and Googleguy maybe you could offer some kind of explanation?

I do a search for "blue widgets" and up comes a site... buried when it used to be front page results but maybe this is part of the reason why.. on page 7 of results of the SERP appears:

Blue Widgets (html page title - this information is correct)
_____________________________________
(Page content here is showing from another page of the site)... yellow tripods are an excellent blah blah blah...
www.xyz.com/bluewidgets.html - 27k - Cached - Similar pages

The text google is displaying in the SERPS for this page has never ever ever been on this page. It is text from a completely other page on the site. I dont even know what cloaking exactly is but I assure you I do not cloak. So why is this the text google is showing in the SERPS for this page when this text was never on this page?

Thanks if anyone can answer, and maybe a heads up for you googleguy to a problem with google.

Hey Shaadi, this is not any kind of a problem with DNS or anything of that nature at all... it is actually showing in the Search Engine Results text from a completely other page on my site..the HTML page title IS correct, however the text the search engine results are coming from a completely other page on my site. This text was never on that page so I have no idea why this text is showing for this page. My store is a yahoo store hosted by yahoo, so I know it is not an error as far as DNS or anything else, it is a problem with google's computers. Any ideas why Google did this? Maybe it will straighten out next update, but seriously, their is a problem with Google.

Helpmebe1,

I had this problem with one of my pages - and this happened quite a while before the Dominic update. It was a page that got picked up by the freshbot (of those days) and later got picked up by the then deepbot.

It took several updates before it finally got straightened out.
