The first thing I am mad about is the whole "deepfreshbot" thing. I realise now from what googleguy said that "deepbot" will no longer be around. Deepbot has merged with freshbot hence "deepfreshbot".
I have been hit only by freshbot/deepfreshbot since i created my site. The first time freshbot hit my site it went to about 10 pages then left. It comes and visits me every 4 or 5 days now.
I have made MANY changes to my main page and no matter what i do freshbot wont go past my main page. I have reasons to beleive that the only way it will go past my front page is if i have a better page rank because obviously having new content doesnt matter.
Why does google have to put so much importance into pagerank? The website i have is unlike any other that I have seen in my niche. It is very hard to get backlinks when you have an "original" idea. My site gives detailed comparisons for many different programs dealing with my niche. I have NO competitors whatsoever. Who am i supposed to ask to link to my site? I have thought about this ever since i created the site and theres vitually no one i can ask to link to my site other then unrelated websites.
Another thing i have a problem with is the lack of response from the google spam reports. I understnad that normally they dont manually act upon spam reports. They use the spam reports to help them with their algorithms. But what about REAL spam? I am not talking about a competitors website that uses some hidden text. I am talking about a website that has over 100 domain consisting of a ONE page website that gives a link to some affiliate. The only difference between these 100s of websites are the domain name and the tittle are different.
The reasons i think this is REAL spam is because whenever you search for some of my keywords the first 5 pages of googles results are flooded with these domains. Atleast 7 per page. I am not complaining because this person is my "competitor". This persons ONE page website cant compete with me at all. Its not only annoying to me when i try to search my keywords to see where i rank but its annoying to average google users who will not be able to find anything they want.
I started a website about 2 months ago [...] The website i have is unlike any other that I have seen in my niche. It is very hard to get backlinks when you have an "original" idea. If your site has truly unique content, then it should be possible to rank highly for suitable key phrases without a high PageRank, because of the lack of competition. If you provide a useful resource, eventually people will link to you from home pages etc., just because they like what they see and want to recommend it to other people. But that takes time, of course. Just like in the offline world, you can't build "brand recognition" overnight.
There are other ways to get the word out about your site besides search engines. For example, if there are bulletin boards or Usenet newsgroups related to your niche, you can participate in them and mention your site URL in your sig. Don't make it look like you're just URL-dropping. People can spot that from miles away. Make useful contributions that can stand on their own, gain a reputation for being helpful and reliable, and people will investigate your site of their own accord, and be favorably predisposed towards it before they even see it.
You did not mention if your site was listed in google. Do a search for allinurl:domain.com. If you are not listed on the regular index try it on www2.google.com, and www3.google.com and see if more pages are showing up.
If you do have pages showing up they should appear in the regular index within a week, as long as this update acts similar to previous ones.
Freshbot visiting your site that is a very good sign, at least google knows your page is there and it is a step in the right direction.
As far as the linking goes I would say read this:
[webmasterworld.com...]
and then try this
[webmasterworld.com...]
Hope that helps.
