Can someone please explain to me why Google backlinks always seem to be the last engine to index them?

I have tons of links on ATW, Lycos, MSN etc...but Google and AOL seem to take months. Why is this?

My site is only 3 months old and for whatever reason I do not get much traffic or sales from these other engines. I would like to know when will all my backlinks on google appear? We all know to be listed on Google is a vital part of any online business.

I must admit some of my links are there, but 75% of them are not.

I have heard from most experts that google is the ticket for any online business success. Please advise. Thanks!

Uhhh. There are several hundred posts made in the last month on this forum that repeat the fact that the latest Google update is different to all of the others and a lot of factors, like backlinks and PR, are currently missing from the index. Check again in a few weeks, or more, time.

JoeHouse,

Apart from what g1smd says (whicjh is correct): Google only shows the higher PR backlinks and only for higher PR sites even if there are a lot more.
