Hi,

One of my site has been PR0 for as long as I had the google toolbar installed (only 2 months - ok shame on me), but I don't know why that is so I emailled webmaster@google to know if I had any penalties but not response so far.

I understand that they must be a lot busy these days with Dominic, but was wondering if anybody experienced the same?

Thanks for your answers

Leo

HI Leo

There were many people in the same boat as you a while back. The thinking then was that if you tried once, give it at least a month, then try again, politely but persistantly.

Some people seemed to get answers within a week, for some it took much, much longer, and was often a canned response.

I've never ever got a response ;) Apart from the automated one... and it was for proper queries

When I wrote I try to subtly tell that I was one of WW member as it seems to make things move quicker but it's never easy if you don't want to look pretentious.

I'll wait another couple of weeks then.

I think they filter out ones that have "reinclusion request" in the subject line to go to someone specific.

I know you aren't sure if you are banned or not, but if you were in google - and now are not - I think you could at least ask.

I wasn't sure from your post if that is the case.

I have heard from several people - including myself - that never get a response. However, recent things I have heard suggest they have vastly improved in this area.

I would expect to never get a response.

Try mentioning webmasterworld, GG, Dominic, your WW nick & "reinclusion request" as the subject

<edit>Sorry, you already mentioned WW. Try also using "GG, etc</edit>

I tried, as politely and nice as possible. Never got a response. It's frustrating and lacks professionalism.

I also wrote to ATW and heard back from them in 3 days. It was an ambigous answer but it gave me some clues.
