alot of "dropped sites" are back in google...

some have there PR back while others don't. Anyone here just get there site

Back? I had alot of sites go down with this new update thingy thats happening over at google and I also noticed alot of other sites go down. Today I seen alot of them come back, has yours? What I mean is the pr and back links are back but, no serlp's yet. Is this the end of "part 2" of the update GOOGLEGUY? Also, some of the sites that dropped out were good PR and now there pr0, will this change in "part 2" of this update(and sites getting into the serlps) or is this going to be part of "part 3" of the google update, GOOGLEGUY?

SlowMove, you might want to check out if you have scumware. That can slow down your computer. I don't think our time to serve results has gone up lately.

(update) Now i'm seeing dropped sites with PR but no slerp's and they have backlinks but, the only way you can see them is if your on the url and do a rightclick, backlinks check. Anyone esle seeing this and do you know whats going on? Thanks all

Hi,

Sites are jumping in and out, but my site has gone to no. 39 from oblivion for a 50,000,000 keyword, mainly because after 6 months solid content building I finally set myself to getting some links. Ooooh, I'm hoping it stays and I think it should result in some more traffic.

What say the pundits at WW?

I am a newbie here, my site dropped on the 8thafter 3 days on google after a freshbot spider grabbed 4 pages on the 5th. The freshbot spider hit me again and pulled 7 pages off my site and I was up on Google again for another 3 days before it dropped me early on the 18th. I was ranking high in a handful of my keywords, I only have a few links, I am working on more. I hope the problem is not because my site has dynamic pages. I am just waiting for the Deepcrawl to hopefully hit me so I can stay for a while on google.

My site went from a gray bar to a PR 5, but it is not showing up in the Google database.

Now whats going on, I just saw my site go from a steady place in the top 40-50 to somewhere like 450! Whats that all about? It's never been out of the top 60-70 since it first got into google.

I have the same ...
I have PR4 shown (it is new site -so it is real PR).
But the site is not in the index database.

And at the same time google does show links to this site.

Strange ... looks like google is still halfbroken :/

Oh well, I thought it wouldn't happen to me but Google just more or less killed a site that I took over a few months ago. I know the to do's and don't do's quite well, and there is no obvious reason for this, except that the site uses frames which I haven't had the time yet to get rid of. The owning company is one of the top 5 in its business, and the site has lots of useful content, apart from the fact that it's of course a selling tool.
Instead, for one of the relevant searches I now get a site on No. 1 which has PR4, an "Under Construction" sign and an email address, and was last crawled on June 18. I'm with you here, adsoft13, and nobody please tell me that Google ISN'T seriously screwed up. I have seen a lot of nonsense results since last month, for all kinds of searches. Sorry GoogleGuy...:-) Let's hope that we will see quality in the Gogle SERP's again soon.

Pleased to see one of my sites back in. Just started doing some optimisation on it a month or so before Dominic, showed good progress for keyword strategy, client getting excited and then boom, back to no where. Interior pages showing instead of home page etc. Saw this thread, took a peak and I am back, doing very well. Another client site is still MIA but we will see what happens.

I was just about to crack and start making some changes based on some theories I had on over optimisation. Guess I will leave the other one alone and wait. Hope this gives some hope Blumi..

I had several pages added as a result of this update. Unfortunately, there is no page title or cache? It indicates 'Similar Pages' under the url but no cache.

Any ideas? I don't see anything wrong with my source and the pages appear to be from the April Crawl

"Good_Vibes" it seems that we are in the same boat. My pr is showing but, i'm not in google(its been about a week buy, I seen some sites link this for a while now) I sure wish GoogleGuy would say "anything" about this becouse it is driving me crazy.

teeceo, me too. My site was dropped in early domenic then, recently, the PR came back, but still found nowhere in the index. I can see the backward links and cache. Google also deep crawled my site serveral times since it was dropped (300-600 hits from googlebot in one time visit, I assume this is called deep crawl).

What I really wonder is what has happened to my site and what will happen to it from now? Is it banned? As I don't know what happened to them, I have no idea what to do next.

My sites droped off in Early may for the major Keywords I targeted. They have since done well on Keywords & phrases that I had decided to forget about.

They both have pr 6 or pr 5, but there is no sign of them comming back into the index for the main phrases I am really concerned with.

One of our sites, started in October ī02, dropped out of the first SERP for our two main keywords during dominic. Three days ago, the site was back at #3 - but only for a single day! Now the site ranks somewhere below #200. I am starting to get a little nervous, as I donīt see anything changing for the last two days at all..

Pure speculation: It looks like the site ranked well and than a filter came along and crunched it. However, the site is absolutley clean, most pages have PR 5 and, looking at the competetion, it should rank somewhere on the first SERPs at least. I have no clue whatīs going on. Is this thing called Google still broken? Is there some "kill optimized home pages" filter?

If it's any consolation it's affecting a lot of others too, see the Esmeralda part 3 thread. Oddly enough my site is unaffected on google.co.uk with .co.uk filtering on, but on .com and without filtering on .co.uk it has vanished below the top 400!, infact my contact us page ranks higher than my index page. I'm sure this will pass as more tweaks to the algo are brought online (I keep repeating that mantra to myself to stay calm! hehe) The only thing I can think of is that Google is now heavily penalising sites that use H1 tags? Surely not! I don't over use them just for the title line of my site and <h2> for the sub title and <p> for the rest! The only other thing I have done is add a couple of new outbound links which as far as I've been able to tell are perfectly clean and on topic sites.

It has been a week, and the site still isn't in the Google database, but it has retained its PR5.
