I have been using the nosnippet tag for two weeks now:

<meta name="googlebot" content="nosnippet">

Will google stop showing the snippet and only the description tag for all my pages in SERPs on the next update?

Just wondering if it will ever take notice of it because most of my snippets include text advertisements :/

Thanks oilman.

Looks like it is no longer in use then? :(

Just by coincidence I was searching for something today and found a result in SERP which didn't have a 'snippet' that begun with '...'.

I clicked it and the description on the result was exactly the same as the page's meta description, and also wasn't in the text on the page.

But it doesn't even have a 'nosnippet' tag and isn't in the directory but is cached. Can't work out how they managed that.

I just searched for sites by the same design company and all their pages are like it too. Maybe it's something to do with the submission software they use or something. I'll email them and ask and report back here :)
