I've been optimizing for several years and I've always been able to get a site at least in the Google index in 10 days or less. The latest site I am working with has never been indexed, and we're going on three weeks now. I can't even find evidence of any of Google's spiders coming through. I've even purchased a small AdWords campaign with the foolish notion that might lure the spiders in.
The site actually has quite a few links pointing to it, including a New York Times article and several sites with PR of 8 or higher. I just can't figure this one out.
The site is completely informational and not selling anything, so that may have something to do with it if Google is giving commercial sites more weight these days, as some seem to think.
Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me?
But the latest site has only just been included, though still not in the index proper.
Search for my domain; not to be found, but keywords find it.
This latest site 5 weeks for semi-inclusion!
The other site was badly listed very early on and has been ignored by freshbot since then. Google has not updated the cache, nor has it refreshed the listings, neither has it found any of the new pages, etc. It has totally ignored this other site, which is on a compltely different topic to the one doing well, and that was launched within days of it..
