My homepage PR6
My sitemap PR0

Sitemap is still in Google's index and ranking high for some popular keywords..

link:http://www. mySite .com/sitemap.html shows no links.

Any anyone explain this? Am I hit by semi-penalty as all the pages point to my homepage with the anchor text "Site Map"?

Help!

Why would you put the anchor text "site map" into links *off* a site map page?

More important than PR, has the page been affected in the SERPS at all?

doc_z I had followed the thread, but it went too off topic and long, can you please let me know what you understand all out of it, as you have refered it to me. And how is that going to help me?

Thanks in advance.

I also read the thread only partly. (Therefore, if I didn't resume it correctly, maybe someone can correct it.) It seems that some people have problems (PR0) with link pages as well as site maps. Brett's final conclusion was 'just stay paitent' until 'the final outcome for a few weeks to a month'.
