Two months - no page rank

Firstly i would like to apologise for this question but i couldn't find an answer on the forums anywhere.

I have had my website fully uploaded for approx 2/3months now and I still don't have a page ranking.

Could there be a problem with my pages or am I just a very impatient and paranoid kinda guy?

Same thing here. My data is 2 to 3 months old and one site I put out in the middle of April isnt listed at all. Its kind of discouraging - all this work and nothing. But I have to assume that some day they will go current with their data.

Are you in the Google index at all? Do you have a lot of sites linking to you?

Google is currently going though problems, so PR is screwed up all across the board.

Just work on getting more external links, try to get your link on Dmoz, and eventually you'll see a PR.

Clarify what you mean. Can your pages not be found even by searching on unique text strings on them? Or, are you just referring to the toolbar PR display? As John_Creed stated, PR is hosed for a lot of sites this month. Even big, authoratative one showing PR0, etc. Thus, don't trust the toolbar.

dwergs, the current index seems to be based on a crawl from around Feb. A lot of pages added since then are either grey-bar or PR0. Sites haven't been picked up. It's not just you, it's a common problem, so just hope for the best like the rest of us (and get dmoz etc like john_creed said).

I am not in the google index at all. Other people having the same problem is encouraging. I have a few sites linking to me that are in google so I guess I just gota wait for the next update. Im now added to Dmoz so hopefully that should do it 8-D!

All of the pages I've added to my site since mid-February have white bars with no PR, a few very recent are grayed.

People say there is a problem with Google, and I believe them.

I have been designing a new site for a client and put it on my own domain instead of his until it's finished so it wouldn't get listed and he could still view it online.

I was searching my name on google yesterday and there was that new unfinished site--only they had only text and no graphics. So they must have done a deep crawl of my site about 2 weeks ago and picked it up. I hadn't even linked to it anywhere or listed it, of course. I did this to prevent the search engines from picking up an unfinished site (i've had this problem before). But I forgot to add the "no index, no follow" meta tag. It's on there now.

I have to agree, I've never known such a difficult time with Google. Many of the sites I maintain have had new pages in the last months all with top notch linking inside and out. Yet Google is not including any new pages or page updates in the index.

Also many of the sites when checking the Google cache are dated late March (I have a php date script displaying the server date to inform me the date of displayed cached results) Google is displaying very old data.

Logs show googlebot.com has been visiting, but still in nearly all 50 sites old data is displayed.

I think I'll go and visit the 'Is Google Broke' discussion ...

yes, i'm seeing lots of freshlike behaviour, but no updates to the cache or PR on pages of the age you talk of.

Just to add to the confusion, I have pages that I added or updated on May 7 and 12. They're in the index, without a "fresh" date, and they're in the cache, even though the deep crawler hasn't visited my server since April 26.

A page that I updated on May 26 hasn't hit the cache yet. I don't know if it's showed up with a "fresh" tag yet.

jtbell, fresh results seem to be sticking much longer than they used to. The fresh tag goes away but the new page version sticks in the serps and cache.

Yes - hoping for the best... Data from around feb/march seems to be strong. Even some data that no longer exists is still in the index (with back links, go figure)... Google doesn't like anyone who is younger than March. Added over 100 pages of well written content to one of my sites last month and not one page has been picked up...

If it helps anybody, here is the date script I use so I know what date is being shown in cached page results:

Of course it is only visible when viewing source. A quick check on google cache, then view source reveals what date-of-page my results are based on.

One of my sited have been in google for at least 2 years with a 5 PR.

A few weeks ago looks it have been deleted at all from google. If I search for site:mysite.com mysite it shows 0 results. Also my pagerank has been deleted.

Can It be a mistake or should I understand Google has deleted my site. I see no reason for it... NO cross linking, hiden text, any ilegal or duplicated content ... Can be other reasons? Dou you know any article or tutorial with all possible reasons for being banned?

If is a mistake I guess I will be there soon. But can I understand I´m temporaly banned for any reason?

Lorel, they crawled and got those pages because they're on your domain, which has been there for a while. The problem has been with sites that have been going up on their own domains the last few months. That isn't the same thing.

I hadn't even linked to it anywhere or listed it, of course.

Google can find pages that aren't directly linked to. You can find an explanation for that on their site if you look in their FAQ.

The safest thing is to use robots.txt to exclude an entire directory to keep bots out. The problem - eventually Google can have the same identical pages on both sites - and that isn't a good thing.

i am also have the same problem my site is listed two months back and has more than 35 backlinks showing in google index,but my site has 0 pagerank

All pages created after about April 15th are showing no pagerank.
