Hi, Just a quickie for you guys.

I have a site with a PR of 5. It has always been a password protected membership site with links only from my other site. Google are aware of it but obviously dont spider it because of the protection and do not list it.

I have now removed the protection for the site, obtained quite a few outside links, got into Zeal, applied to DMOZ, and expanded the content.

Question is do I sit back and wait for Google to follow the new links or should I notify them of the change in case they assume it will still be protected?

Opinions gratefully received.

how exactly were you thinking of notifying them? :)

in answer to your question, let them come and find it from all the inbound links (imo)

there would be no harm IMHO to submit a choice new internal URL or two using the add url form, just to be on the safe side

at least, you're not likely to be penalised for it, and you never know, it just might help

Searching for the words in your title I found your site at #2 with a fresh date of the 28th. Unless I have lost my powers.

Well, thats one each....

Powdork - I'm not with you, where have you got a title from and what did you search for? The only reference I can find in google is the link word from my other sites. It has no listing for the site itself
