For the second time this week pages disappear from Google

I have information that some pages disappear from Google for the second time in past seven days. Those pages, old four months, are also not ranked by Google. Very strange, because sites have links in Google directory and of course in DMOZ.

My experience - I had a site showing in the number 2 to 5 position over the last several updates... A few days ago, I added some code to the index page and the domain disappeared. I removed the code the day I noticed a loss in hits from Google, freshbot grabbed it and I'm back to the last position I held... Lesson learned - all is not lost - don't mess with a good thing - Google is reacting accordingly.

Morgan, I know for Freshbot. Point is - pages are not new. Pages are indexed earlier on Google with ranking 3 and now rank is gray. Site is on Google directory. Why Freshbot treated site like a new site?

Newman, that sounds like your domain has been banned by Google for some reason - are you using dodgy SEO techniques that someone could have reported to Google?

Here's a question I hope can be answered...I know GG says be patient, but this is a little crazy to me.

my site <mysite.com> was in google's top 10 for our main keyword, it has been there for months. We haven't changed it, we've added content in subpages but the index page has been the same.

Over the past weeks as Google has fluxed and tested (on sj, fi and the rest) we've held up fairly good rising and falling a few spots here and there, nothing drastic. Then one day *POOF* it's gone from the index for that keyword, and we can't seem to get it back.

Any suggestions?
