Fresh Results that don't go away

Is this new?

Hiya all:

My site was taken completely out of the latest index (Dominic), but now my home page is showing up in the SERPS.

This is interesting, however, for the following reasons:

1/ Typing in 'www.mydomain.com' has no results still.
2/ Typing in 'allinurl:mydomain.com' has no results still.
3/ The page in question had a fresh tag for a few days, then the fresh tag disappeared. But the page is still in the index.

Perhaps fresh results, once gotten, now stay in the index.

(If this is the case remember that I broke the story :)

OK my stupid question...

Is it the fresh results that have my sites jumping all over the qurrent index today?

This morning I had 1 site on page 5 (used to be #5 on page 1) then at lunchtime it moved to page 2 (3rd position) and now it's on page 4?

My other site is jumping around just as much.

I don't get it.

any ideas?

Critter

This has been happening since before the March update :)

Laurel - Datacentres are far from settled as far as I can see.

Critter,
This is the first I have seen it for my search terms.
At least I know that I have not been forgotten about.

Maybe there is still hope. :)

Further to my comments above - I have seen pages sticking after being freshed - however I would not say that they stay in the index - for example I have had pages seemingly stable for weeks after being found by freshie and then they have disappeared. :(
