Backlink cycles

how long does it take for backlinks to count?

In the May update (dominic?), my site managed to loose all the backlinks listed in google it had gained in the last 3-4 months. (from 54 down to 2!)

I know it does no good to watch the google pot boil, but how long do you all think it will take for the backlinks to be relisted?

In the past it seemed to be 2 months/updates.

This update was different than any other. Google is using 2-3 month old backlink data. Hopefully with the next update (3-5 weeks), we will see more recent data.

BTW, there is about 10 million posts on this, so read around.
