First of all, thanks for your great forum.

I would like to know if using on a web page the textarea tag with the attribute read-only and placing into it hundreds or thousands of keywords can get you a ban from SE especially google?

I tried it myself and wow! i got an increase of traffic! but if i got ban from google it will be the end from my company.. 80% of my sales are from google so i want to play by the rules.

I have reported this website (6-7 weeks ago) to google through their spam page report a couples of times a i saw nothing yet.

thanks for your advice guys.

Hi parad0z, welcome to webmasterworld.

First up you should save the mods some work and remove the url as per the tos and charter [webmasterworld.com].

It's not very fair to name someone else's site as an example of spam, especially as you have reported it.

I don't think this kind of thing will make you any friends at Google. If you want to be totally clean, then don't use it. Someone could report you like you are doing to the site you mention, and in time you could be kicked out of Google.

wow! lightening fast mods ;)

If it is serious enough for you to report it to google, then its only fair to assume that someone visiting your site will think the same. If you have so much to lose, why take the risk, I'd leave well alone if i was you.

this website is one of my competitor.

I did the same as they did for a couple of weeks but after reading a bit more about SEO and reading on your forums i removed that.

Like i said, i play by the rules now.

i dont understand why google dont give them penalities or or a ban, cause they deserve it.

and below you have thousands of keywords about <snip>.
