I had a site called Widgets for Cars and it was doing great.. after just a few months I was #20 in Google on my targeted keyword. So I decide to build another site called Widgets for Trucks.. Put it up on a different domain. This site will use the same format as Widgets for Cars just different content.. Long story short I accidently left some of the Widget for Cars page titles on the for Trucks pages and Google white barred the Widgets for Trucks site.
My Widgets for Cars page is still PR5, up from PR4.. but for some reason now my main keyword not only isn't #20 anymore, but I don't even appear in those results!
One other factor I failed to mention.. I tried to change the title on my home page for Widgets for Cars and that also was around the time I lost my apperance in the results. I now changed my title back to the old one.
Will Google come to love the old Widget for Cars back in it's original form or have I done irreperable damage?
thanks,
anx

Have a look at these threads regarding PR0:

After reading your post, I understand that your main question and concern is "Why your widgets for car with PR5 homepage is dropped from #20" - Am I right?
If that is your question, I don't think what you described would bear any negative impact on your "Widgets for Car".
Could you please tell me more info about your widgets for car website? How is your linking campaign? Did you exchange links in such a way that your link partners pointing their links to your home page and you link back from your link pages? What are the difference between the number your link in and link out - equal, nearly equal, or not equal at all
So I just used the sample template for the '... For Trucks' site as I've used on the '...For Cars' site It's pretty dynamic, almost all of its body content comes from a database.
The mistake was I forgot to change a couple references to the Cars site on the Trucks one. Namely in the page title:
Example:
<title>Widgets - All about Widgets for Cars</title was on the Widgets for Trucks site! And in the body of that about page I had a self reference like 'Thanks for visiting WidgetsForCars.com!'.
I can't really find any consistency to when and what keywords my site appears on. A few weeks ago I was #20 for my main keyword for 'Widgets for Cars' on www2.google.com, then that transferred to main google somehow.. but now I don't appear at all for that term! Strange!
