Do anybody have information really how many search engines will a shopper use before he decide to make a purchase?

For example, a person looks for "DVD player" may first search with google, and get an eye on a few sites, the sites listed on the top may be clicked more, but the deeper page may be selected if it looks relevant to the shopper;

Then will he still go further search with MSN or AV for the same keypharse?

I personally think he will, then in this case the top ranking do not mean real sales!

Please comment

Thanks

The majority of searchers use Google and partners of google.

Your scenario is not supported by actual traffic numbers reported by many, many sites.

It is much more likely that if a searcher at google.com does not find what they want, they will simply refine their search by adding or taking away key words.

In your example, they might start by searching for

"DVD Player"

then search for

"Buy DVD Player"

then search for

"Best price on DVD Player"

until they find what they want.
