Current status

where are we now with the update

I would like some clarification on where we are right now with this update (if indeed it has started). Here's what I know for sure, please add to the following if you need to.
(This isn't intended to be a long thread which goes over everything we've already discussed, it's just intended to get some clarity as to where abouts in the process we are based partly on what GG has let us know).

1. New data has been ported to all datacentres as GG said it would and these give their own slant on the index - this could be because different datacentres have different filters etc turned on or off, it is now at this stage that GG said new backlinks/data would be added "over time" then new algos brought in.

2. Some new data has been added but not much at all so far.

3. Freshbot seems to be grabbing as many sites/pages as possible and seems to be more active and going deeper than normal. I read in a previous thread that freshbot was recrawling the original April Deepcrawl.

4. Backlinks have not been adjusted back up.

I feel this may be an update that will go on till another full dance is completed. we may be seeing these results for the next few weeks, than a whole new SERPs. just a thought an ideas?

The update is done.

What you see is what you get until they start the next phase of their new system with the next update in a few weeks.

Eventually, the updates will go away as we know them.

not to be lazy but the links provided to the posts are huge, does anyone have a place where they have pulled a quote from googleguy or somone who has evidence to say this update is done till the dance starts in a few weeks. I have read through a nubmer of these pages, but I only found speculation. Show me the "quotes"
