I agree that all the datacenters are matching, but if I've read the posts by GG can the update offically be over if the spam filters and backlinks have not been factored in yet? A post a couple of days ago by GG said filters were still yet to be applied?

Adding in spam filters need not have anything to do with the update. The update is about ranking sites. A filter just removes some, leaving the rest in the usual rank. If adding in backlinks means changing rank, this would be something. However, GG never stated that this would involve more than them showing up with the link: command.

Actually, we really don't know what will happen. GG has been quite cryptic. He also in one post mentioned that the time frame for rolling in anchor text and backlinks would be more than weeks, and less than months. That is so far in the future that I'd say this should be called a new update if it changes rankings.

GGuy - please - more riddles! We love riddles! Please, say something that makes us think you just told us what is going on, so that we can all continue to have no idea what is happening.

There are so many threads and so much talk that when something happens you don't even see it! So all the datacenters have synced! OK, that's a big step. But they didn't hit www yet, so before a single backlink comes in, etc. that has to happen first I would tend to think.

Oh. Hmm. I'm getting different allinurl's from www,www2,www3 and all other datacenters. I guess it's everflux. I always have trouble finding that yahoo link but I'll track it down.
