Getting Google to index domain.com not domain.co.uk

I'm working on a site that was until recently listed by Google under domain.com. This has now changed so it is listed as domain.co.uk, and the rankings have plummeted.

The server is in the UK, which is why I guess the listings have changed to domain.co.uk. But it is not a UK focused site, so the domain.com address is much more appropriate (the company has offices worldwide). The domain.co.uk address is a 301 redirect to domain.com, and it always has been, so it concerns me that this will not persuade Google to revert back to domain.com.

Will Google re-index the site as .com eventually, or should I do something more drastic, like park domain.co.uk and resubmit domain.com?

There's another twist. The site is listed in the usual places (ODP, Yahoo etc) as domain-word.com. This also 301s to domain.com. We are in the (slow) process of trying to change this. However, this means that Google is showing no backlinks at all for domain.com, domain.co.uk or domain-word.com.

Hi the_beest

Seems to me you need some good hard links into your .com as quick as possible!
Good luck
