Widget Madness

OK, do I have this right?:

1) AllInAnchor:widget madness = SERP's based solely on inbound anchor text reflecting the phrase: "widget madness"

2) These SERP's are indeed "SERP's," in that they show which sites have the most inbound text links (or the most important inbound text links) for that particular search phrase.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If this is correct, could I reasonably expect that if different data centers utilize the same index, that the same set of SERP's would always come up in the same order at each data center, since no other algo elements are included in this calc?

And, if I then see that different data centers show different AllInAnchor results for the same key phrase, is it the case that they *must* be using different indexes. OR, is it possible that they are using the same index, but that the AllInAnchor factor is itself now subject to dampening?

p.s., I know other conversations are going on about AllInAnchor searches, so mods feel free to move this if appropriate!

you are correct in your first statement.

but.

that the AllInAnchor factor is itself now subject to dampening?

No it's just the backlink structure for example say in a test datacenter google removes all the links coming from blogs and guestbook the allinanchor would seriously move around in certain areas.

so now image that google winds back the backlink clock two months for what ever reason and the allinanchor would change and then slowly they start crawling and bring in the new backlinks in 30 - 60 days you should have an all new singing and dancing index.
